Prescriptions

The doctor provides medical prescriptions for anyone who needs medical treatment.

For individuals with a valid Greek AMKA (social security number) we issue electronic prescriptions and electronic lab referrals for  lab tests. The insurance covers the majority of the cost of the prescribed medications.

For patients with a European Insurance Card (EHIC), the prescription process may differ slightly. With an EHIC, the patient is also entitled to medications at a reduced cost. In some cases, the doctor may provide the patient with a prescription for medication that is covered by the EHIC.
